The Budos Band - Overlander

For Budos Band's latest single Overlander I revisited some techniques I developed a little while back, putting a fresh twist on them. The foreground animation's built with a virtual set in Unreal Engine 5.5, comped with a whole load of painting textures developed with sd1.5, while the animated background skies and clouds are all classic After Effects, which also covered the compositing as well as a load of visual effects and messy grading.

Incredible project to work on, thanks to Brian Profilio (@b.profilio.art) for working with me to build on his original artwork for the band's new album VII.

Overview

Quadra 163 is a music video created for electronic music artist Fabrice Lig, designed to visually accompany his track Spin Coaster. The piece explores a surreal, post-human narrative set within an abandoned space base—a lone survivor travels to an empty colony in space, they walk inside a vast, brutalist structure, wandering through empty architectural echoes until encountering a single living symbol: a solitary tree.

Visual Style & Concept

This video draws from themes of isolation, memory, and renewal. The environment—an immense brutalist warehouse-meets-space station—evokes feelings of past technological collapse and quiet resilience. Cinematic camera movement and slow-building tension guide the viewer through stark, symmetrical corridors toward a moment of emotional release.

The final encounter with the lone tree acts as a counterpoint to the mechanical world—suggesting survival, rebirth, or even hallucination. The visuals reflect the tension and energy of Spin Coaster through minimal colour, fog, and rhythmic animation.

• Designed and animated a sci-fi-inspired brutalist environment using Cinema 4D.

• Synchronized camera and object movement with Fabrice Lig’s electronic track.

Official Music Video | Dystopian Motion Design Inspired by Brave New World*

Overview

SOMA is a commissioned music video for Locked Groove, visually inspired by the dystopian drug from Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World. The video explores themes of conformity, control, and emotional sedation through minimalist character design, cyclical motion, and a stripped-down visual language.

Visual Style & Concept

The concept follows a set of test tube–like figures who ingest a mysterious pill—SOMA—and become entranced in a system of synchronized movement and enforced calm. The narrative unfolds in a two-tone colour palette, emphasizing restriction, duality, and repetition.

Motion loops, grid systems, and sterile environments reflect the dehumanizing effects of artificial bliss. Rather than dramatizing rebellion, the video focuses on the beautiful emptiness of compliance, subtly echoing the mood and structure of the track.

Process Highlights

• Developed a loop-driven visual system with modular, emotionally neutral characters.

• Used two-tone colour design to reinforce the binary logic of control vs. chaos.

• Synced animation to musical shifts while maintaining narrative ambiguity.

• Delivered a final piece that acts as both music video and visual essay on sedated modernity.

De La Soul - Rock Co. Kane Flow

This music video I animated for De La Soul & MF DOOM sees the group come to life as Wrestling superheroes battling aliens in an epic and darkly comic piece, where Hip-Hop meets superhero action.

The big challenge of this project was bringing back Hip Hop legends Trugoy the Dove and MF DOOM, two icons of the genre who have sadly since passed. We knew we didn’t want to go down the road of AI and Deepfaking, instead opting to create a fully animated video, with re-imagined versions of all the characters, no small undertaking.

Posdnuos (of De La Soul) had a clear vision of the vibe and comedic tone of the video, looking to recreate the group’s look during the grind date’s release over 20 years ago (with a wrestling superhero twist). We took influence from various superhero films and media, and drew upon hours of classic wrestling footage for reference. After months of animating, rendering and complex Visual effects work, we were finally able to bring De La Soul & MF DOOM to the big screen just as they were in 2004.

Overview

Until Venus Returns was a commissioned project developed in late 2017, inspired by the mythological return of Venus — the Roman goddess of love. I aimed to explore the intersection of digital constructs and ancient mythology, crafting a visual narrative that reimagines Venus through the lens of technology, glitch, and space-time aesthetics.

Visual Style & Concept

The project draws on themes of love, isolation, and rebirth, filtered through a futuristic and cosmic visual identity. Venus is reinterpreted as a being emerging from a world of glitch, starlight, and data, with a surreal blend of character animation, outer-world landscapes, and abstract tech motifs.

Frames from the animation were repurposed as high-impact single covers, each one distilling the mood and tone of the video into a single image.

Process Highlights

• Directed and produced a fully animated 3D music video, combining narrative flow with atmospheric world-building.

• Designed three single cover artworks using selected video stills.

• Integrated glitch effects, particle simulations, and digital decay to reinforce the theme of technological myth.

• Developed a visual arc that evokes the goddess archetype while embracing digital surrealism.

Outcome

The final output included a music video and three cover artworks, designed for both digital release and promotional visuals. The work has been featured on Behance and served as an early example of my interest in combining mythology, motion design, and speculative sci-fi imagery.

Overview

Seen You Before is a looping short music video commissioned by FuturePast Zine for the release of a digital single. Created as a social promo asset for Spotify and Instagram, the piece explores how memory distorts perspective, drawing visual inspiration from Inception-style recursion and spatial paradox.

Visual Style & Concept

Built around the concept of memory loops and fractured timelines, the video features a seemingly ordinary room that subtly shifts and reconfigures each time the camera passes through a door. Though the setting appears unchanged, the objects, lighting, and spatial relationships morph with each cycle, creating a disorienting and poetic sense of déjà vu.

By using camera mapping techniques in Cinema 4D, I was able to texture the space with photographic realism while allowing for animated distortions and transitions. The result is a seamless, loopable video that plays with time, space, and perception — echoing the emotional ambiguity of the track it accompanies.

Process Highlights

• Used camera mapping to project real-world textures onto 3D geometry.

• Built a seamless loop that evolves subtly on each pass-through.

• Composited in After Effects to layer distortion effects and spatial transitions.

• Designed specifically for loop playback on social media platforms like Instagram and Spotify Canvas.

The visuals explore a hypnotic aesthetic rooted in techno minimalism, rave iconography, and audiovisual feedback loops, aligning closely with the track’s emotional tone.

Visual Style & Concept

This project riffs on the nostalgic language of warehouse raves and early 2000s club flyers, combining gritty texture maps, fluid simulation, and strobe-heavy sequencing. The video plays with looping camera moves, modular typography, and light-reactive forms to immerse the viewer in a space between memory and motion.

The project also included the development of a visual identity system for the release, extending the core look across short clips, teaser loops, and social assets.

D3LTA 'Signals'

Roisino directs a simple yet captivating storytelling visual for Greek indie band D3lta that plays on the heartstrings of those who have ever felt slightly different from the crowd.

The focus of the video for Signals is a ballerina who breaks from the norm by incorporating new forms of emotive dance with traditional ballet during an audition.

Juxtaposed with a band performance in a gurngy rehearsal space, the scenes clash and yet marry together to conclusively celebrate the rebellious spirit of an individualistic performer.

Known for his groundbreaking work with Fela Kuti and collaborations with artists such as Damon Albarn, Tony’s rhythmic innovations shaped modern music and continue to inspire musicians worldwide.

WILDERNESS worked with World Circuit Records to create a new animated music video for a remaster of Tony Allen’s classic track “Secret Agent”. We aimed to celebrate his lyrics and capture the energy of Afrobeat through vibrant visuals, bold colours and dynamic motion.

Game Show

Inspired by both the Cambridge Analytica and the Edward Snowden scandals of personal data being illegally mined and sold for nefarious political use, the song connects news audio (performed by CNN's Clarissa Ward, BBC's Nick Beake and the actor Rory Kinnear) with the sung perspective of a citizen who has lost control of what he or she is sharing. 

The accompanying animated video depicts a surveillance state through the concept of a dystopian game show, featuring players from both sides of US politics, social media kingpins, and other world leaders.

I was commissioned by Remote Control Agency and Tom Hickox to create an animated music video for Tom's latest release, 'Game Show.' Drawing from the inspiration behind the track, I set out to visually capture the essence of the lyrics. The concept was sparked by reimagining the iconic hammer scene from Pink Floyd's The Wall, but with CCTV cameras replacing the hammers. I aimed to blend various mixed-media elements, all within a predominantly black-and-white aesthetic, to evoke the mood and tone of the song.

For this music video I designed the whole video from no ideas to a full video. The music artist and I collaborated on this video together to come up with the look, style, vibe, and overall scene order.

I designed concepts and samples would send them to the client and they would send back notes until we reached our goal. This video is the end result and we are both fully proud of it.

This is a music video I recently completed with animation crew Yere Studio for Vermont jam band Twiddle! Each band member is faced with some kind of inner fear, and it takes harmonica legend Jon Popper to blast away the evil and bring the good vibes.
 

Lil Wayne ft. Kendrick Lamar - Mona Lisa

This is a Heist movie with a horror twist, set in a grimy New Orleans. Lil Wayne is the Mastermind, Kendrick is the Clean up guy and the girls used as bait just happen to be vampires. 

I wanted to push the cinematography in this one, still using the same techniques as before with Toon shaders and motion capture but I'm edging towards something that feels altogether richer with cinematic lighting, depth and atmosphere. The video was put together from concept to staging as if it were live action, blocking out actions and putting scenes together the same as if we were doing it for real. The structure of it has performance shots, narrative scenes and cutaway moments going on in the same way. Of course this way we have the ability to make everything feel hyper-real, we can mess with the colours and incorporate traditional 2D animation without it feeling tacked on. There's a freedom with animation where you can make things look EXACTLY how you imagine them without compromise.

Lil Wayne - She Will (Animated Video)

Lil Wayne made the album The Carter IV back in 2011 but strangely enough never made any music videos for any of the songs. Now 10 years on, we're celebrating by creating visuals for every track on the album.

I directed all of them, and the first one to be released is this animted video for the track She Will. It features Drake and is a banger suited for hanging out your car, crusing at 10 at night. I wanted the video to reflect the mood, slow and laid back but dark and gritty at the same time. It's a series of atmospheric shots with weird framing and vague symbolism and WTF am I looking at moments. A lot of the scenes were setup like a live action shoot with excessive use of negative space and long, drawn out shots. The beauty of animation meant we could mess with the scenery and renders and intersperse these moments of collage and rough print marks and it blended in perfectly. 

Our team went all out on the character design, creating an anime likeness of Wayne in full 3D. Like previous projects of mine, we utilized toon shaders with hand drawn overlays and print mark textures to create an aesthetic I'm becoming known for. I guess it comes from my aversion to 3D polished render porn that I see daily on my twitter feed.

Vice Versa

You discovered “The Prison of Unhappy Lovers” with “MA CHérie”. The story continues with VICE VERSA. I betrayed and will therefore be judged. This is my trial in the “world” that I created… It’s not over yet, I would even say that it hasn’t started yet… See you soon for the third and final episode of the Prison of Unhappy Lovers.

Skip Marley - Slow Down (Animated Video)

Skip Marley and friends hang out all day doing nothing. That was the premise of this video, and they bought it! The song is called Slow Down, and I wanted to create a video that felt like a lazy Saturday afternoon where you and your buds just hang out. Totally blissed.

Skip rides his skateboard, they cruise in a converted jet engine car that spews out good vibes then go to a club and lose their minds.

This was a new venture into character design for me, having mostly worked with motion graphics and avoided characters at all cost. For this video I got the right team behind me to realise the cast. I still have a lot to learn in this department.

I've been watching a lot of cartoons with my two year old and secretly using our quality time together to analyze what makes the good ones so good. I've also always loved anime and grew up on 90s MTV, Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network so this video is a culmination of everything I've gleamed from that.

I was able to draft in my regular collaboration buddy Dan Crossan to art direct this video. He created all the art on the walls, the words and helped with the concept and design. Having him on board added an extra dimension to the video injecting it with a unique look and personality.

This video was procedurally generated using variations of Fractal Noise at varying intensities. Apart from some minor intentional animations at the start, I took the procedural animation and edited it to coincide with the percussion and piano.

The result is a minimalist synchronised visual that grows more chaotic over the course of the video, albeit with a sense of order as it follows the music and reaches its peak with the surprising piano coda.

Love Me - CHXRL

Winner of the "Best Drama Music Video" at the Europe Music Video Awards. Titled "Love Me", the song draws from CHXRL’s narration of a classic tale of unrequited love and the duality that comes with growing more in love with someone by the day, while they simultaneously grow more bored. The song deals with the unfortunate heartache of falling in love with someone, but sadly finding the love to be unrequited.

With every strum of the guitar, you can feel the excitement for a new relationship building and building, just to be shot down as the lyrics say, like a ‘little mouse to a bird of prey.

Tigertailz - Bloodsuckers Music Video

Follow Welsh rock legends, Tigertailz on a savage adventure in space, rocking out and ripping through their enemies to satisfy their hunger – but, for good or evil? Who cares!

Tigertailz are a Welsh glam metal band hailing from Cardiff, Wales. They are most famous for their 1990 album, Bezerk which made the Top 40 in the UK Albums Chart and spawned the hit singles “Love Bomb Baby” and “Heaven”. The band reformed in 2005.

This gory animated music video is just what the band wanted to reflect their latest single ‘Bloodsuckers’. 

I was the animation director and lead animator for the project. Utilising After Effects puppetry and frame-by-frame animation to bring this sci-fi, gory, action-packed music video to life.

Tracer is a 2 of 12 songs by Flower Child Slumber Party's 2023 monthly single release. A collection titled "Simply Put, A Phenomena." Written, recorded, performed,  produced, and mixed by Flower Child Slumber Party at our home studio in Miami, FL.

The music video was released in the start of 2023, we wanted to produce a surreal journey, a bit like falling into a dream. The artist's main vision for this video was to convey a feeling of surrendering to intuition, trusting the inner wisdom instead of looking for answers outside of us. We wanted to prevail with a video that would make the audience immerse into a psychedelic, interconnected and transformative world. 

'Tracer' was selected to participate in Kinomural exhibition 2023

Music Video Design & Animation made for the Drum & Bass artist named Ainonow for his track 'Triturate'

The second music video created for Ainonow was completed in early 2024 for the intensive track 'Triturate'. 

In 'Triturate' the artist asked to focus more on the meaning of its title, which means to pulverize through grinding and inspired by the poem by Dylan Thomas called "Do Not Go Gentle Into That Goodnight". The primary sentiment of the poem is that life is precious and should be fought for at every turn. The poem's speaker offers insight into how to face death with dignity and ferocity rather than resignation. The speaker wants people to “rage, rage” against death: they should “burn and rave”, fight fiercely and bravely, as their lives approach the end. He also mentioned that when he created this song, his was picturing a process of death after getting sucked into a blackhole where one would literally be grinded into tiny particles from the sheering forces of gravity.

Music Video Design & Animation made for the Drum & Bass artist named Ainonow for his track 'Exile'

Kyle Kroeck is at the helm of the enigmatic music project Ainonow. His tracks traverse a broad spectrum of sonic landscapes that go from dark and heavy drum & bass to broken beat halftime and experimental bass music soaked in organic textures. 

'Exile' music video was completed by the end of 2023, which we created full lengths music video for Ainonow single debate release for YouTube and Spotify canvas. 

Before starting the project, we made a short brief, which we came to realize the artist's vision for the videos. When asked about description words to evaluate the look and feel for the videos, those came up -

We created an expressive and dynamic videos, with layers of audio reactive visuals and intense transitions that leads the audience into a cryptic and exhilarating journey. 

In 'Exile' we used the artist's logo as a base for the animation. The sharp edges of the outer shapes of the logo and the abstract eye, helped to intensify the expression of the movements to be more extreme.

Hollow explores the abusive relationship RoZe experienced with her father. The video portrays the artist trying to escape from inside a picture frame, with her dad dragging her back in. RoZe and her younger self escape into the forest with the final moments depicting scenes of the two healing one another.

'Harbour The Feeling' Music video for Oxford band, The Mezz. 

Director Shaun Dagnall wanted to create a funny, somewhat nostalgic feeling video, where the band could be swapped out for an early 2000's band like Busted and the video would still work. 

Overall, the production was loads of fun. We shot the video over two days in January, 2024.
