UMISE Concept Tee - Please Don't Cry

UMISE is a (currently) concept apparel line I have developed, taking inspiration from my favorite music albums and artists. The term UMISE as used by me is an abbreviation for "Unlimited, Music Is Soul Energy."

The artwork on these shirts is an abstraction of the feelings and energy that each respective music project gives me as I listen to it. Each tee visually references the album artwork that inspired it - while the visual shapes and composition aren't always 1:1 with those used on the album, the color scheme is typically kept around.

This shirt is based off of Rapsody's 2024 album, "Please Don't Cry".

Blooming - Editorial Shoot & Motion Design

    " Blooming "

Full shoot published in Noctis Magazine

    Motion Design Edit

An exploration of the perpetual journey of artistic reinvention.
Showing how embracing challenges can lead to profound transformation, and the birth of a stronger, more authentic self. Just as a caterpillar metamorphoses into a butterfly and a flower blossoms in the nourishment of rain, so too does the artist evolve through change, for it is the only constant in life.

Rick Astley / Are We There Yet?

"Are We There Yet?" is an album that has been long-awaited by fans of Rick Astley. The album's concept is centred around the journey and travel experiences that Rick had during his time in America in the late 80s. The album cover, featuring a powerful image of a dusty desert road, was carefully chosen in collaboration with Rick and his management team. Further, I created a custom handwritten text for the album title.

I adapted the album design to a wide range of packaging formats such as LP, CD, CD bookpack, and cassette, along with digital album art for the two singles. Additionally, I created a set of marketing materials such as printed ads, posters, animated tube adverts, and bus ads.

    / Handwritten font
/ LP, CD, CD bookpack and Cassette packaging design
    / Singles digital album art
    / Tube ribbon advert (animation)
    / Printed adverts

Nina Simone / The Montreux Years

As part of a collaboration with The Montreux Jazz Festival, I was tasked with designing a modern album cover that conveyed the powerful energy and captivating stage presence of Nina Simone. After watching her electrifying performances in the Montreux recordings, I decided to showcase her distinctive energy through vibrant illustrations inspired by her proud African heritage.
