Day by Day - Old Sea Brigade
The 2nd video of a trilogy of videos for Old Sea Brigades newest full length album.
"The entire three part series for Old Sea Brigade, was inspired by the idea of double-mindedness. The notion of trying to find a way to escape one's own thoughts that contradict. In a way the "dark double" in our series is the schizophrenic thoughts of fragmentation. He is not unified until he leaves those many voices behind. With Ben's lyrics creating a very unique language of imagery - “Stranger in the mirror his smile makes me shiver, He wears my features and grinds my teeth” I didn't have to look far for inspiration. This also informed the first video, How It Works, set in a desert dream. In that one Ben faces his inner self with a gun in hand. In Day by Day it's with a silent goodbye. We aimed for a look that was mysterious, dripping with melancholy. We didn't want to shy away from the moodiness, but juxtapose the psychological with a dance like quality. A shadow play of both mind and music."
Tokio Myers - Enter the Jungle ft. Akala
A semi-autobiographical music promo that revisits Tokio's youth and his struggle to choose between his passion for music and social expectations. We are not always a product of our environment but are who we choose to be.
This slick music video was directed in east London's 'Hackney showroom' for Lily Denning. D.O.P Edward St Paul's simple but effective lighting adds a stylish edge to the music video, and the overall simplicity of the space adds to the minimal feel.
The Launch - Andrew Bayer & Cosmic Gate
This is a new music video for a collaboration between two well respected and renowned music artists. They collaborated to create this latest track on Anjunabeats label. It's titled 'The Launch' and is by Andrew Bayer and Cosmic Gate.
The concept based on the title 'The Launch' is loosely based around the thmes of space and shuttle/rocket launch. Using abstract approaches to the design of elements the idea was to not be too descriptive but for it also to have a coherent narrative and not to just be a collection of disperate animated clips.
It was a lot of fun to work on. Hopefully that comes through in the final product.
