Spector – Now or Whenever

Indie introspectives Spector are "back with a dose of nostalgia," according to Clash, with the return of the British four piece's third studio album, Now or Whenever. This is the band's first new offering in six years and it's worth the wait, with DIY Magazine describing the release as "reconciling no-frills, gig-ready energy with minimalist mechanics."

The band's debut album Enjoy It While It Lasts reached number 12 in the UK and number 1 on the Official Record Store Chart on the week of its release back in 2012.

Twin Atlantic – Transparency

Described by NME as their "weirdest, funniest and most appealing album yet", Twin Atlantic's LP Transparency deals with the departure of their drummer Craig Kneale, who stepped away from the Glasgow-based band after 15 years in September.

Mid-pandemic the band worked remotely with prolific LA-based Irish producer Jacknife Lee, (The Cars, U2, REM, The Killers, Snow Patrol, Bloc Party, Two Door Cinema Club) to create the LP.

"The level of band we are, everything we do is to make a living. We’ve not had a massive hit, so we’re very much like, ‘Let’s do another record – I can afford to still be in a band," Twin Atlantic frontman Sam McTrusty told NME last year.

The artwork was created by Zaragoza-based painter Martta García Ramo.

Twin Atlantic's lead singer McTrusty said on Instagram that García Ramo's art "just spoke to me and how I was feeling about all the lyrics I was working on. It’s never this easy to make album art so thank you to Marrta for the beautiful work and inspiration."

Power Paladin – With The Magic Of Windfyre Steel

Iceland's power metal lords Power Paladin's 9-track debut album is an historical landmark for both the group and Atomic Fire Records - being the label’s first full-length release since its recent founding.

According to Napalm Records, "the sextet has a certain glam note and loves to ride with the gas pedal pressed down between magical forests, castles and past fire-breathing dragons," hence the beautiful, fantasy-style artwork created by concept artist James Child from Penrith, United Kingdom.

James is a skilled freelance 2D concept artist and illustrator with a passion for design.

Wilderun – Epigone

Epigone, the Boston-based progressive metal band's follow-up to Veil Of Imagination, is released today on Century Media Records.

"This has been an album in the making for many years, so it’s a relief and a pleasure to finally get it out there," says the band. "We’ve learned a lot over the past three records, and applying that knowledge to these particular songs has been a very rewarding challenge."
