Simona Me. is a London based animation director inspired by wacky, colorful 90s cartoons like ‘The Powerpuff Girls’, ‘Cow and Chicken’ and ‘Scooby Doo’.

After graduating from the Royal College of Art with an MA in Narrative Animation, her films have been screened at festivals like ANNECY, Monstra, LSFF and won the award for Best New Talent at the BFI FFF. She has also directed surrealistic, trippy music videos for international bands and worked on amazing projects as an animator.

She aspires to be an animation director who not only creates stories that are a visual feast of madness, but also celebrate characters who are extravagant, sassy and loud with color. I want to represent the misunderstood creatures of the night, the ‘weirdos’ that don’t fit, the ones that no longer will be side kicks.
