A World Where We Remain - THE SHOPWINDOW

A World Where We Remain is the second single to be taken from The Shop WIndow's third album called Daysdream, the album is due out May 2024. Daysdream is a double album made up of sixteen tracks. The ‘Days’ side is filled with summer jangle, and the ‘Dream’ with melancholic melodies. The album sees the band exploring new territory with more freedom. Expect elements of Janglegaze, Shoegaze, Dreampop, Psych and lots of familiar Shoppies Jangle/Indie pop. Carl Mann talks about the lyrics - “A pensive social commentary of hope, despair and heartbreak, A World Where We Remain addresses the state of the world and the endless unnecessary suffering we see as a result of our own actions. It begs the question; how can we save the world when it seems we are intent on our own self destruction, and what are we leaving behind for future generations when we continue to make the same mistakes? Tears of hope above all, must remain.”
