Wiseman

The idea for this video was to shoot a really cool performance video. The band and Footsie would be performing live in the centre of the stage surrounded by people on the edges. They performed with full energy for all the run throughs and then on the last take; on the final verse/chorus all of the extras let loose so that it ends in chaos. This was then intercut cut with some really nicely shot portraits of all the people involved. We tried to gather a large cross section of people to symbolise both ‘grime’ and ‘metal’.

We wanted to keep the lighting largely from one side so we got some nice shadows and contrast on the band but also to help keep the people on the edges less visible and covered in shadow. We then used spotlights that were handled that swept across the band and the background to reveal people throughout the video. We also varied the lighting on all of the portraits to allow each one to standout on its own. We did this so that they could be used as seaprate entities on social media as well.
