Mini Milk
We were approached by Gramn to help bring a concept that they already had to life. Mini-milk is a song about what it really takes to be a white ally to black people. It is heavily inspired by the writings of James Baldwin.
They had a 12 small ideas/concepts that they wanted to use as stand alone pieces but also that could be cut together into a final video on release.
These varied from doing time-lapses of melting mini milks to elaborate costumed figures that were a representation of see, hear and speak no evil. We came up with different ways to film each of these that would make them stand out individually but also work together. They were then released as shorts in the days leading up to the release of the single.
The final video became a lyric video as everyone involved wanted the importance of the message in the lyrics to be clear for anyone to see.
