When This World Ends

At the beginning of lockdown we were approached by the band to make a video for their track “When this World Ends”. We decided to do it using phone footage shot by the band, their fans and their famous friends. We think we were one of the first to do this. We got the band to do a number of callouts on social media and we also built a website that allowed people to upload their footage easily. We managed to source nearly 1000 videos from across the world in little under 2 weeks.

We got all of the band members to do numerous takes of them singing the full song in various locations in their homes or out when walking the dog for example. This was cut with fans and famous friends doing the same.

When it came to the edit we wanted to make it as engaging as possible, so decided to vary the size of the frames we used to house the videos. It was important to us to include as many as possible of the submissions, which lead to a lot of long days editing and syncing clips from all over, but we feel it was definitely worth it.
