State of Emergency

We were asked to make a second video for the band during the lockdown earlier this year. Having already made one using phone footage of the band and their fans we wanted to do something different.

As fans of dystopian films and imagery we wanted to create something that fit within the theme of the song. After discussing with the band we decided to take advantage of the deserted London and Brighton streets and began by filming the empty city streets at dawn over multiple days. This culminated in us filming some extra “socially distanced” narrative parts using the guitarist and his wife as our actors.

We really wanted to create a feeling of them being the only people left searching for signs of life. It was important to us to film this safely and within the Covid guidelines set out at the time.
