Limefield Records

We began our relationship with the ever mysterious and forward thinking label Limefield in 2020. Since then we have embarked on a number of video and design projects with them, evolving and expanding our relationship to form a visual identity that suits the present and future aspirations of the label.

We began working with label co owener John Haycock on his Steve Reid Foundation sponsored EP "In a bloopy mood" . On this 7 inch record we wanted to create a simple yet powerful linework symbol that represents the core of Johns musical output- traditional west african insturments alongside modern electric effects and looping devices.

Next up was Didymus, an album seven years in the making. We were commisioned to make two music videos for the albums releases - "In Dapple Shade" and "Feels Like A New Day". We were also commisined to create a gatefold sleeve for the album for its summer release.

We began filming for the music videos on our travels around the UK in summer 2021, we visited stone circles, nature reserves, wild woods and anything and everything along the way. We wanted to capture the natural, ethereal and mysterious feel of the music, combining and interwining these locations with symbols, sigils and maps from each place and idea.

For the sleeve design, we wanted to continue with the same visual direction from the music videos, we used a combination of experimental photography and symbols with the intetion for the listener to be picking up an artifcat in the record store and to enter the audio visual world of the Didymus project.
