Unreleased Works
A Strangely Isolated Place (ASIP) is an LA based record label that focuses on ambient and left-field electronica. This release has been compiled from unreleased tracks made in the 1990's, by famed electronic artist James Bernard, into two LPs and one extended digital album: Volume 1 (Acid Dreams) and Volume 2 (Elemental Dreams). Arriving at a time when James was primarily producing Trance and Acid under his Influx or Cybertrax aliases on Rising High Records.
I developed the concept around the notion of unearthing something old yet undeniably new and strange. I took a cube and eroded parts of it, gently sculpting it into something new. Both sleeves combined create a single cube, and each seperately mirrors the negative of the other. The concept expanded into the inner sleeves where I gave each track it's own shape all derived from the same basic isometric cube.
