Lows
Lows is a song about the reality of anxiety and depression against the fake flawlessness of social media identities.
The video begins with IZZA in her kitchen, making a cup of coffee. As she scrolls through social media on her phone, she finds herself experiencing random and contradictory emotions. Later, seated on her couch, she passes through feelings of futility. The visuals shift to rapidly flashing clips, displaying her edgy anxiety. While riding the train into the city, she marshals her self-esteem, momentarily shoving aside her worries.
We shot this all in one day in 2 locations using a Blackmagic Cinema Camera and Cine Lenses in 6K. We used Astera tubes to create the coloured strobing effects and for the flickering fluorescent ceiling light which feature during the single slider shot during the group therapy session.
