I’m Matt McLaughlin, a motion designer and animator.

Professionally, I excel at creating 2D animations with After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and stop-motion. I love telling stories and finding interesting ways to explore visual mediums.

As a child, I spent time drawing and making animations and flipbooks. I also spent a lot of time shooting short films with a Super-8 camera and drawing visual effects directly onto the film.

Before diving into motion graphics, I designed and created interactive experiences for online — mini-sites, landing pages, flash animations, etc. — promoting television shows, books, and authors. I drove branding and traffic with my designs on social media and in emails and newsletters.

I love animation of all kinds, but stop-motion has a special place in my heart
