I am a competent and multi-skilled motion graphic designer with 11 years experience. For the previous five years I have worked as Head of Design at Never Say Die Records. This role has given me strong experience in a leadership position and greatly advanced my skills in motion design, specifically 3D oriented projects. The role required working with numerous collaborators and regularly communicating with the marketing and artist management teams to deliver complex design project briefs to tight deadlines. I also work in a freelance capacity for a number of other record labels and clients around the world, producing content for both social media and large format displays.

I have a keen eye for detail, composition, motion and colour and am eager to demonstrate how the skills utilised, and techniques learned in my previous position can be applied to multiple visual identities. I can inject a level of creativity and innovation learned from my more abstract projects as well as conveying clean, modern branding for more corporate styles.

My primary responsibility in my previous role was producing all motion graphic assets for the label, sub-label and management company. This extended to sourcing collaborators for larger projects when required and ensuring all assets were delivered on time. Projects ranged from social media and online assets, to visuals for large format displays at clubs and festivals across North America and Europe. I have a strong understanding of how social media assets can be modified to maximise engagement and impact and/or meet specific objectives of a campaign on different platforms.

I enjoy discovering creative solutions to convey the correct message, emotion and branding on projects, as well as contributing to marketing ideas. I can interpret marketing briefs from a motion design perspective and translate and convey this to other design collaborators.

My main software skills are in After Effects and Element 3D, with further skills in Cinema 4D, Blender, Premiere Pro and Photoshop. Further to motion graphic design, I also have skills in; videography, video editing and grading, live action FX, audio production and editing, sound design, graphic design, live-streaming and VJing, as well as creating social media filters in Spark AR. I am not afraid to jump out of my comfort zone and learn new software to achieve ambitious briefs.
