Leica: The Power of Scanning
The brief here was a very simple one: Shoot the factory. Though I wanted to take it a step further and create more personality to the film. Firstly I wrote a bespoke script that would carry the core values. For this, I put together famous quotations that were based around quality and precision, and then worked in some of the key brand messaging. This created a familiar basis that the viewer would recognise and eventually associate with Leica.
Then it became about the two key factors that make Leica Geosystems what they are: the technology and the people. It was apparent that the balance between these elements had to be right. And with the success the film has bought Leica since its release, it’s evident that it was well crafted, just as the products themselves are.
