TREi & Jabz MC - Magma

This project came to the fore when the world was in a very strange place so the design of the video ran off the back of that. I took a more artistic approach and worked in more metaphorical substance to reflect the challenges that people were going through at the time.

It was also an opportunity to experiment, as with most music videos, with different film-making styles. I looked to use elements such as colour (or lack of) and aspect ratios to the advantage of the video. We created a mystical environment in a colourless boxed frame to create a sense of claustrophobia and depression. The track worked beautifully with the imagery and in places worked where it traditionally shouldn’t.
