Logo refresh for the HBO Max original series based on Phillip Pullman's trilogy of fantasy novels by the same name.

HIS DARK MATERIALS is an HBO Original Series following the story of a young girl named Lyra, a brave young woman from another world. Lyra’s quest to find her kidnapped friend leads her to uncover a sinister plot of a secret organization, encounter extraordinary beings and protect dangerous secrets.

The existing logo for the series was poorly crafted and did not complement the dimensional, rich, and elegant tone of the show. This refresh introduced the use of Canopee, from VJ-Type, which was customized to serve as the identity’s primary wordmark.
