Emanuel J Burton - Live Visuals

I created stage visuals to complement artist Emanuel J Burton's set at Gorilla, Manchester in January 2020.

The Brief

"Give the crowd something to connect visually that connects with my performance and the music. I want to increase my fan base, so throughout the show I want to give the crowd multiple opportunities to follow me online by displaying my social media handle. The theme of the show is 'Music Therapy' - I want this to be therapy session where people are present and free from any pain they feel in their day to day life."

The Concept

I wanted to provide a mix of relaxed and upbeat sections to complement the songs and 'Music Therapy' theme of the show. "Give me the Reason" for example is a song about battling faith but coming out victorious - the song builds up from calmer verse to an uplifting and energetic chorus, which I mirrored in the visuals to reflect the mood for each section.
