Album Artwork for David Larbi
For David’s Pop / R&B release, ‘Headz’, I approached it with heavy consideration for the lyrics and subject matter.
The singles are blurry, and grainy, with no defined subject; the wave-like motions feel like a visualisation of memory. The warm, saturated colour invites you into this introspection but there’s a sadness to it. The full cover is an extension of this visual language, now with a discernible, albeit obfuscated, subject. It stands as a representation of this man, overwhelmed with thought and reflection, and how this simultaneously afflicts and comprises him.
