Dr Fox's Tearoom Logo, Brand Identity and website creation
For this client we designed from scratch a brand identity across all platforms for the client’s new hospitality venture.
Based in an old sanitorium in Weston-super-Mare, Dr Fox’s has become the first establishment of a planned roll-out across the west coast of England. Named after the man who built and operated the sanitorium during Victorian times, the tearoom retains many of its Victorian architectural features. We decided to build on these historical links and reflect the designs often seen on cut glass mirrors or windows of Victorian pubs and cafés.
Potential Victorian stuffiness was avoided by producing a characterful render of a Victorian gentleman-doctor in the guise of a fox which helps keep the establishment memorable by making a visual link to the name.
In this case, our client wanted a simple website with booking forms, updateable menus and contact forms they could update themselves at staff level, without the need for an in-house webmaster or a retained contractor.
As such, we built the site for them using the Wix platform. Wix is a simple, modular drag and drop editor that our client could learn easily for themselves.
Once the site was built all control was handed over to Dr Fox’s.
We also produced a number of signs, banners, postcards, loyalty cards and stickers.
