Home theatre branding
Flux was commissioned to develop an identity for a startup entertainment system installer. Our research began with investigating epic films. Kubrick’s ‘2001: Space Odyssey’ is renowned for a high level of detail, which is sometimes only obvious to the well trained eye or ear. The Monolith is also a visual and metaphorical link to the cinema screen and film. Its shape is a cuboid. We recommended 'Cuboid' would make a great brand name. The logo design uses Kubrick’s Monolith proportions (1:4:9). These proportions have been applied to a range of design elements within the brand, such as the logo, lettering and business cards. The client named the areas of their showroom after several great film makers.
