In the mood for the 2018 World Cup, which took place in Russia, the Urban Arts gallery proposed a competition for artists to create a special work, inspired by Russian constructivism and the best of Brazilian and Russian culture. The selection of works was made by the curator André Diniz, who chose the posters that best followed the language proposed by the collection among the arts submitted via call on the Urban Arts website.

We were selected among 15 other brazilian artists, who developed 30 unpublished prints with a limited edition. The works became an exhibition in the gallery's 16 franchises throughout Brazil.

After the study, we decided to use the digital collage technique to compose the illustration, using a more minimalist tone and a more sober color palette that recalls the colors of the classic teams from the Pelé era from the 50's to the 70's and another option with Soviet colors.

The inspiration for the poster concept was the song "Garota de Ipanema" by Tom Jobim and Vinicius de Moraes, composed in 1962.
