Artwork for Tributo a nós mesmos
"Tributo a nós mesmos" is a project that was awarded the Nodgi Pellizzetti Prize for cultural encouragement in 2015. It brought together several songs from the bands Apicultores Clandestinos, Liss, Costeletas, and Homem Lixo from Rio do Sul, SC, Brazil, into a single LP. The LP features three iconic tracks from each group.
In the LP, each band recorded a cover of a song by another band. Liss recorded the psychedelic classic "Eu tenho uma camiseta escrito eu já sabia" by Apicultores Clandestinos, who in turn had the challenge of rethinking "Sem Privilégios," a song by Liss that already has a version by the band Autoramas. Homem Lixo transformed the song "Hey Menina" by Costeletas into a raw HC version, while Costeletas recorded "Sai que eu vou vomitar" by Homem Lixo.
The visual project for this album was created using manual collage techniques, with a mixture of various elements. The collage process involved cutting and pasting different materials, such as photographs, newspaper clippings, and other printed media. The final result was a visually dynamic cover that perfectly complemented the diversity of music found on the album.
