The work I’ve written and directed so far has focused very much on outsiders; the quiet people no one notices or cares about. I’m attracted to quiet characters saddled with bigger personalities around them and want to make films with a mixture of both kind of characters motivating the plot - one being dragged and the other forcing their way forward.

Aesthetically I like a fluid, active feel. I’m never happy with just one thing happening on the screen at one time. That's where my love of layering images and splitting the screen comes from. I aim to make films where the complexities in shot are working harmoniously with the narrative. I tried that with my latest short film, Blind Fate. It was a challenging idea from the outset but I was confident in its story and message even though it was extremely hard to put together in practice.

I want to write and direct more short films but steer them into the direction of being feature films.

I love music videos and the opportunity they give to get creative. I also love working with musician, bringing out a performance.
