London-based photographer John Hooper has shot some of the most intriguing figures from the worlds of music, TV and film, but is also making a name for himself with his landscape photography and, most recently, collaborative film-making and direction
John came into photography after studying graphic design, shooting for style magazine Sleaze Nation and offbeat car title, Intersection. His work has since found its way onto the pages of Vanity Fair, The Guardian and The Wire, as well as the likes of achingly cool hip hop magazine, Big Smoke, and leftfield basketball journal, MVP.
His portrait subjects have included the likes Jake Gyllenhaal, Clint Mansell, rapper-turned-thespian Ludacris, star chef Gordon Ramsey, comedian Stephen Fry, artist Ed Ruscha and controversial musician Pete Doherty, not to mention former Spice Girl, Melanie C.
He is available for stills or video work
