Sam is an award winning film and commercials director from Kent, England. He’s also a husband and papa bear to one lovely little girl, a bit of a comic book geek and general fan of cheese. So here’s his journey as a film maker on Planet Earth so far...

After the briefest of stints as a spark on Sunday Morning CBeebies, Sam graduated from the University of Greenwich and spent a year making tea and toast at Post Production House, Prime Focus, he then decided to part ways with PFL and joined a small but thriving video production agency called Praxima (it’s Latin or sort of Latin, don’t ask). Learning the ropes of working in a promising production environment, Sam cut his teeth creating films for whisky brands, mobile phone companies and working with the odd pop-star or two (it’s ok Pixie, I know that we couldn’t really be together).

In 2013, Sam became a company director of the business and now directs and produces commercials for broadcast, branded content, music videos, short films and he’s dipping his toe into that big, scary world of features. To date, Sam’s received 19 awards for his efforts as a director including “Best Director” at the New York Film Awards, “Best Director” at the Los Angeles Film Awards and being part of the fantastic team that took home a Cannes Lion for their monumental effort on the ‘Slide’ campaign for motoring giants, Lexus.
