Johannesburg
South Africa
Hello there, I'm Dale Kopping a 42yr old male born and bred in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Who is an International Photographer that specializes in low-light photography mainly shooting without a flash. He covers all the local and International acts that grace the South African shores.
What Started for Dale more than 15 years ago, as a freelance photographer in his spare time using a 3mp Canon Point & Shoot camera attending events and supplying an online publication with photo galleries has become his passion and full time career.
In 2013 he decided that it was time he did it for himself and no longer as a job in his spare time. So he purchased a Nikon D3200 and 18-55mm & 55-200mm lens combo deal and created his own Online Publication & Blog called. DK EXPRESSIONS.
In just a few short months after creating his blog he was Accredited as the only Blogger allowed to shoot the Kings of Chaos (KOC) concert and by doing so when the Performers like Slash, Glen Hughes, Matt Sorum, Gilby Clarke, came off stage the shots of them were already uploaded to Social Media. That is where each member had then either liked, favourited, retweeted and shared their images with their fans, that they actually went viral giving him instant World Wide Recognition.
In 2015 DK EXPRESSIONS was awarded the African Blogger Awards for Runner Up Best Events and Nightlife Blog. In 2016 he purchased a Nikon D5300 with built-in WiFi (which is how he is able to offer clients his Real Time Events Photography Service) and a Tamron 16-300mm lens which is now his main body and lens that he shoots with.
He considers himself as SA's #1 Real Time Events Photographer. He has photographed some of the World's Best Live Acts, such as Steven Tyler, KOC, Foo Fighters, SEAL, Mariah Carey, John Legend, Rodriguez, Mumford & Sons, UB40, Roxette and Iron Maiden to name but a few.
He prides himself on his ability to capture moments and share them with the world as they happen. Where most photographers will have to edit their shots in post-production to get their colouring etc perfect before they share them, that is not always the case with his shots thanks to years of trial and error.
Images so good you'll think that they have been edited
And with that, he has now ventured into the world of Videography, creating a variety of videos for his Youtube channel, from Promo Videos, Still Motion Videos, a BTS video for Showtime Management "Priscilla Queen of the Desert", a short video for Cuppa for Cansa, a Footballer Profile Video, a Wedding Video and Wedding shorts for Social Media as well as some other interesting Event Videos, and Interviews etc
