Derren Lee Poole (b.1973) is a graphic designer and photographer born and raised in the heart of the industrial North West of England.

As a graphic designer, Derren is an efficient and self motivated worker proficient with Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign. He has a keen eye for good clean typography and type based logo design. Working in the design field since 1998, Derren has gained knowledgeable experience in the setup of design for print, both small and large scale production runs, vehicle wrapping, exhibition design and production, detailed scaled drawings for listed building application and consent, client consultation and liaison, as well as running studio and production spaces.

As a photographer, Derren is fully comfortable in working with digital and traditional film processes (35mm and medium format), and has built up a reputation of working diligently and delivering results quickly. He is the co-founder of Obscura Darkroom, a community led darkroom facility run in conjunction with Blackburn Is Open and The Bureau Centre for the Arts, who offer workshops and a usable space for the exploration and development of traditional photographic film techniques to new and seasoned photographers.

Outside of work, Derren has a passion for walking and exploring the countryside with his two daughters. Gig photography as well as performing music live as a bass guitarist in various jazz and blues bands, is also another driving passion.
