Chi is a filmmaker from Taipei, Taiwan. In 2020, she graduated from Dodge College of Film and Media Arts at Chapman University with a MFA degree in film production, directing emphasis, in the United States.
Coming from a graphic art communications background, Chi has a distinctive vision in visual storytelling, using symbolic elements to deliver certain moods, emotions, and intangible ideas.
Chi’s works focus on family relationships, female mentality, and the philosophies of life. Her previous works include short film THE DANCERS, RED VELVET, HEAR ME IN THE WIND, and HEARTBEAT as Writer/Director. Her latest short film NYMPHALIS is currently under post-production.
Besides filmmaking, Chi is also devoted in acting. She did a two-year Meisner Technique training at the Taipei Meisner Studio, where she also worked as an English/Chinese interpreter.
Chi now lives in London, and travels between Taiwan and the UK, wherever the projects might take her.
