Hi, I'm Ben Montemayor. I'm a 28 year old video director and editor. As an Irish/Hispanic-American filmmaker, I gravitate to stories that highlight marginalized voices, inspire us to connect on a human level and encourage us to keep our hearts empathetic.
I began my career as an editor for Live Nation Entertainment's sponsorship division, working with bands like U2, Imagine Dragons and Dave Matthews Band and brands like Under Armour, Hilton, and Cisco. Soon after, I edited Post Malone's music video for his #1 hit "Psycho." In 2018, I finished editing a short film called Heroines, which became a 2019 SXSW Official Selection and Vimeo Staff Pick. Most recently, I worked as a creative editor at Snap Inc., helping launch their first global marketing campaign titled "Real Friends."
While I have a significant amount of editing experience, over the past two years I've shifted my focus to directing. As a director, I've collaborated with brands like Göt2B, and music artists like Lando Chill and Cimo Fränkel. I've also directed two short films and three short portrait videos for the fitness company Victorious.
