Animation for Xiu Xiu by empbikutoru

This animated music video has been created for an avant-garde American band Xiu Xiu in 2017. The concept of the video was based on the dichotomy of love and hate.To express this idea artist was using a number of disturbing images and scenes, flashes and symbols to immerse the viewer in an atmosphere of anxiety. The narrative was depending not only on the visual atmosphere, but on a strong musical aspects, which were realised in refrains.
It took about 3-4 weeks to provide the concept of the video and to execute it due to the requirements from the musician. The technology of the video is based on the mixture of a real footage and animation.
