Skyholder- As Time Marches On (Single)

In 2019 I designed a single cover for the band known as Skyholder. The band supplied me with the single and a few extra songs to consider. I studied each one and interviewed the band to better understand the music.

The song was about the weight of time moving with or without you, and overcoming the despair that can accompany that feeling. The image describes an initial sense of helplessness and allows the song to uplift the listener from that feeling.

I was told to design something in my own style but I also wanted to help the band preserve visual consistency with their other art. The work was built to be cohesive with the album cover they had completed, descriptive of the narrative of the song, and provide some interesting flare that would uplift their brand.
