Wedding Film Editing (Documentary Trailer)
As an editor, working on this handheld video was a challenging yet exciting experience. The video had a unique visual style, with a focus on capturing the natural beauty of the environment, and I wanted to create a cinematic look that would perfectly match the classical music choice.
One of the most critical aspects of this project was the colour grading. I wanted to ensure that the colors were natural yet vibrant, with a slight warm tone to create a romantic and moody film look. I spent a lot of time experimenting with various colour grading techniques to achieve the perfect look, and the end result was visually stunning. The natural beauty of the environment was accentuated through the grading process.
I also focused heavily on creating clean transitions between shots. The handheld nature of the footage meant that we needed to be careful to avoid any shaky camera movements or jarring cuts, and I used various techniques such as crossfades and dissolves to create seamless transitions between shots.
The 4 Seasons Vivaldi song choice perfectly complemented the atmosphere of the day. I used time-lapse shots, slow-motion shots, and natural sound effects to create a dynamic and engaging visual narrative that perfectly matched the music.
Overall, this project was a labour of love, and I am incredibly proud of the result so far. The combination of the natural beauty of the environment, the classical music, and the cinematic look created a stunning video that perfectly captured the mood and emotions of the day.
The clean transitions and moody yet romantic film look added an extra layer of polish and sophistication, resulting in a visually stunning and emotionally engaging video that I am proud to have been a part of.
