Detainer Man

The artist wanted to do something involving a futuristic police chase. They had a photo of a scalextric police car, which we modelled in 3D software, then built a virtual city for it to drive around in. The video's director Dylan devised a dystopian/fantasy/supernatural story, mapped it all out, then we got the band into our green screen studio with live compositing hardware, and waved lights around them as they pretended to drive around the city causing mayhem. Then Dylan created a horde of 3D-animated murderbots to chase them, marshalled by a 2D-animated cop with a grudge. At the end of the video, the joyriders summon a giant cowgirl from hell, to destroy the city and its inhabitants.
