Sono Solo Complimenti is a project commissioned in 2021 by Factanza, a Milan-based media company specializing in information through social networks. The animated Kalico Jack's project aims to shed light on the often-overlooked issue of catcalling by recounting daily episodes. Accompanied by audio interventions from women and girls sharing their personal experiences, the project utilizes only black-and-white images with various overlapping effects. This deliberate choice creates a grainy, almost disturbing effect, intended to mirror the emotional state of the individuals. The images serve as a powerful tool, either through metaphorical depictions or those closely tied to reality.
