BLOODLAND EMBRACE

Kalico Jack collaborated with Majid Adin and composer James Hamilton to make this animated short film about the conditions of refugees. The video was projected during the Journey Festival, from 15 to 24 October 2021, in the squares of Manchester and Leicester, England. Kalico Jack wants to tell through this animation how these people feel: their emotions, fears, reactions to difficult situations such as leaving their home. Maybe forever. But also how what you are and what you have, as the tradition, dreams and culture, you can bring with you in your heart, because you are your universe.
