Styled Shoot for Flor de Toloache

Mariachi, is a variety of folk music that originated from rural Mexico and traditionally performed by Mexican men. Flor de Toloache is part of a small, but growing movement of female bands and musicians with ambition and desires to rise above the traditions. Winners of a Latin Grammy Flor de Toloache is based out of New York, and come from various cultural backgrounds.

For this shoot, I wanted to play tribute to raw female power and diversity. The backdrop was created out of fresh banana leaves which symbolize abundant lushness, depth, and richness, while the floral headpieces were constructed and designed with a variety of fresh flowers & foliage to represent the femininity divine.

The photos were used as web assets, marketing, and publicity materials.
