Mr. Varshay x Alex Ornam Collaboration

A three day graphic design collaboration with Alex Ornam. We used Ornam's intricate pattern designs as the basis for various computer effects and then composed the art into a poster design.

In each art piece I tried to preserve the integrity of the original design as much as possible while also adding something novel. Similarly, with the design of the posters I wanted to build an identity for the work that was cohesive with the art and enhanced the overall appeal. The gritty street posters with huge bold text and powerful colors created a very cool aesthetic that is simultaneously retro and somewhat futuristic. Almost hearkening back to early days of computer graphics while emphasizing modern pattern designs.
