Optical Sound Film

An experimental, camera-less film exploring the optical sound-track of 16mm celluloid film stock. Inspired by the materialist film works of Guy Sherwin and Lis Rhodes, the technique depicts how deliberate ‘marks’ made to the film surface can become animated graphic patterns that create their own sound.
