My name is Richard Allen. I am a DOP and filmmaker, based just north of London.

I have experience shooting, in particular, music videos for a range of artists. Up and coming, as well as established. As well, I have shot numerous brand videos for major companies and organisations, TV commercials and award winning short films.

I have worked with many well known Directors and Production Companies, and I have a strong working relationship with the multi award winning Directors 'The Turner Brothers' (Fat Chief Media), Toby Laurence (Plucky Films UK) and I am a long-time collaborator with Mumbai/Bangkok based filmmaker Nachiket (Nash) Pangare.

All my cinematography work, to date, has been shot digitally (I have broad experience with all popular digital cinema cameras), though I love 16mm and 35mm celluloid film - and, looking to the future, would like to work on these formats for the right projects. I have trained at the NFTS in the handling of 16mm and 35mm, and am familiar with the more recent ARRI 16mm and 35mm cameras.
