Justine Raczkiewicz is an award-winning filmmaker who has been producing and directing films for the last 13 years. Alongside French horror director Alexandre Aja, they produced six features which played in the official selection at the Cannes and Toronto film festivals, including: PIRANHA 3D, MANIAC, HORNS, THE PYRAMID, THE OTHER SIDE OF THE DOOR, and THE 9TH LIFE OF LOUIS DRAX for companies such as FOX International, Miramax, Mandalay, Red Granite, IFC Films among others.
In 2015, Justine created her own production company, Building J, under which she directs music videos and develops both for film and TV. In 2017, she won the "BEST FEMALE DIRECTOR" award at the Hollyshorts Film Festival for her short WASTE, which played at over 25 film festivals across the world, including Brooklyn Film Festival, Fantasia, Newport Beach, Atlanta, as well as in Paris, Berlin, Stockholm, Brussels and more. It also won "Best Short Film" at IFS, was nominated for "Best Short Film 2018" NewFilmmakers LA. Her last music video, TOP KNOT TURN UP for Madame Gandhi won a number of awards and premiered on NYLON, and was featured on Billboard and Refinery29.
As a writer, Justine has taken part in the 2021 Stowe Screenwriting Lab and her scripts have earned distinctions at competitions, including "Semifinalist" at the 2021 Shore Scripts Feature Drama contest.
Originally from Warsaw, Poland, Justine is also a Columbia University alum, studied at the American Conservatory Theater, and the Parsons School of Design. She is also a member of Women in Film, the Alliance of Women Directors and the Producers Guild of America.
