Description 2

I am a freelance film-maker based in Glasgow. I have had a passion for film-making since a young age, which I was able to develop through my studies at Stirling University. Following a year living in Canada, I was recruited to produce video material for an international research project. In addition to a wide range of research videos, I produced a feature length video diary documentary of the round-the-world journey.

In 2014 I was commissioned as a moving image artist for the Ebb Tide project and produced a short film which was screened in Glasgow as part of the Commonwealth Games Cultural Programme. This was a very interesting project which required researching a local story and sourcing vintage props, costumes and suitable locations. In 2015 I was recruited for Promote Shetland’s digital content team and produced 21 video / radio assets and assisted in 14 live broadcasts over a two year period. In this time I also produced a range of promotional videos for local clients as well as for Daks Fashion (Japan) and Atlantic Records (USA).

I addition to my videography / video journalist work I have also achieved finalist and semi-finalist stage in several screenwriting competitions and have produced two short animated films. My first animation, 'The Old Croft,' was awarded the 'Most Creative / Original' jury prize at the 2017 Raptor Filmz Short Scottish Film Festival.
