'Megaverse Dropouts'

"It's time to drop out of reality & into the Megaverse!" - 'Megaverse Dropouts' was created as part of the 'Coal Mine Canaries' digital artworks series. - In the 20th century, coal miners brought canaries into coal mines as an early-warning sign for toxic gases. The birds would become sick or die before the miners who would then have a chance to escape. With each of humanity's technological advances (Nuclear power, The Internet & Social Media, Artificial Intelligence) comes novel & unforeseen dangers, humans are effectively canaries in a coal mine nearing ever closer to a technological singularity. This is a series of glimpses at these technologies viewed through retrofuture tinted glasses.
