Shawn James single artwork for "Through The Valley" & "The Guardian" on the soundtrack for The Last of Us Part II PlayStation game

A tradiional drawing in pen and ink, this project was a huge honour and incredibly enjoyable to be a part of. Drawn for the amazing musical talent that is Shawn James and on the front of his singles, Through The Valley and The Guardian. Both songs are also on the soundtrack to the huge PlayStation game The Last of Us Part II and directly linked to the main character Ellie who also has a moth tattoo along her arm.

The moth is a Polyphemus linking into Greek mythology and the eye of the Ogre in the book of the Oddyssey. A subtle addition was the main eye pattern connecting the wings together. This is actually Shawn's eye. The distant soft textured moon gave the emotive atmosphere I was looking for.
