Shoulda Known Better' - Nasty Cherry

In early 2020, Nasty Cherry approached Du Blonde to create this neon 90's video after seeing her work on Ezra Furman's 'Calm Down' video. The band wanted to include elements of 90's and early 00's fashion and Bratz Doll imagery coupled with Du Blonde's signature style detailing the weird, unexpected and uncomfortable.

For this video cel animation was coupled with digital animation to create a contrasting and overbearing mix of traditional cartoon style with the glitched out neon aesthetic of a 90's arcade.

The video for 'Shoule Known Better' was conceptualised, illustrated, animated and edited by Du Blonde.
