Big Black Clouds

Released in Winter 2021, this piece was commissioned by Ronley Teper for her single release.The work began as an exploration into the literal translation of her lyrical content. Assets were developed with two themes in mind: The dark “underneath” and then the light, pink and hopeful setting of the final sequencing.Eyes were chosen as a thread throughout the animation to denote that these characters are very much from the same family - darkness determines light, and vice versa.
