MTV Artist Ident

A commission by MTV, to direct this Artist Ident for Pride month.

This Ident draws on Jess' love of volcanology to create an unstoppable on-screen celebration of self-affirmation, visibility, and acceptance. It aims to speak wider than Pride, and look at the power these values bring to any marginalised community.

Visually, it uses dynamic cameras, strange characters, and harmonious colour palettes to create a strong atmosphere. The short was created using a hand-drawn animation style, with each frame coloured individually.
