World Oceans Day

I was thrilled when my entry won the contest sponsored by Elle Decor to celebrate World Oceans Day on June 8. My interpretation of the ocean was rather unconventional: I portrayed it as a living, beating heart. What made it even more special is that it wasn’t a digital rendering, but a careful collage of images I took myself and sourced from the web.

I’m proud of the effort I put into this piece, and I’m grateful to Elle Decor for recognizing its creativity. They published my work on their social platforms, which was an exciting moment for me.
