Line-up announcement for LWE New Year's Day, made using phenikistiscopes.

A phenikistiscope is one of the earliest animation devices. It showed short continuous loops, initially in the form of a spinning cardboard disk.

I created a design for a phenikistiscope to represent each of the different artists in the lineup, and animated them on a turntable.

The theme of the event was 16 so I chose this device that uses 16 frames of images per second to create a moving image.
